Housewife's Meat Calendar 1929

The front and back covers of the pamphlet feature a wraparound design with colorful drawings of rural and small town life, divided with six months of the year on the front and six more months on the back. Text on the front cover reads Housewife's Meat Calendar 1929, and Compliments Of National Live Stock And Meat Board, International Live Stock Exposition. Back cover text repeats the text, Housewife's Meat Calendar, but 1929 appears at the bottom of the back cover instead of directly beneath the top text. Text on the title page reads Housewife's Meat Calendar Containing - Seasonable Meat Recipes For Each Month Of The Year - Also Suggestions For Entertaining And Helpful Household Hints. Additional text on the page reads Published By The National Live Stock And Meat Board, 407 South Dearborn Street - Chicago, Illinois. Recipes fill almost all of the remaining pages, organized by month and featuring meat dishes. Four pages in the middle of the pamphlet feature meat charts for Beef, Veal, Fresh Pork, and Lamb.
