The front cover contains an orange and black spine with the title "How To Eat To Build and To Maintain Good Health" going down the left hand side of the cover. At the bottom, there is a small orange and black line toward the left side. The back cover is blank except for the stamp of the stores name "Stop and Shop" and their address. The inside pages are divided into two parts. The first part contains ten chapters discussing topics about good health, dieting, treatment of illnesses such as arthritis and foods for the underweight. There are various weight charts and hypertension life tables located throughout these chapters. There are also lists of common foods with low and high calories. The second part is dedicated to descriptions of Battle Creek Foods and black and white photographic illustrations of each along the sides of the pages. Some of the foods listed are Fruit Crackers, Fig-Bran, Chocolate Nut Bars, Lacto-Dextrin, Psylla, Protose, Vegetable Soup, and Yogurt Tablets. Each product entails a descriptive paragraph describing the product and its many uses. The last inside page contains an alphabetical index of Battle Creek Foods.
