Description:
The front cover begins at the top with the title "Universal Electric Range Cook Book" written in orange and blue lettering followed by a drawn colored illustration of a doll with the globe as her dress. In the bottom right hand corner, the blue Universal trade mark is listed. The back cover is blank besides for the Universal trade mark which is located in the center. The inside pages begin with an index along with introduction from the Experimental Kitchen at Landers, Frary & Clark. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to recipes and directions for different cooking methods. All recipes begin with a list of the ingredients needed followed by detailed directions on how to prepare the dish. Some of the recipes listed include jellies, beverages, meats, breads, soups, and desserts. The cooking methods stated in this pamphlet include boiling, stewing, surface, and baking. The last two pages are blank and titled "Notes" in black lettering.
