The front cover begins at the top with the title "Savory Prize Recipe Book For The Savory Roaster" written in red and black lettering. Below the title, the phrase "Every Mouthful Tender and Tasty" is stated in red lettering. At the bottom, there is a black and white drawn illustration of a turkey on a platter. The back cover begins at the top with four red illustrations of different cuts of meat including round, shank, shoulder, and chuck. The phrase "These Cuts Made More Appetizing the Savory Way" is written in black lettering above and below the illustrations. At the bottom, there is an opened Savory roaster with a promotion located above it. The front end page contains five black and white sketches and paragraphs describing various characteristics on the roaster. The inside pages begin with a title page that entails the title, company name plus address, and a seal from the Good Housekeeping Institute. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to different informational pages as well as recipe pages. Some topics discussed are how the Savory Roaster does its work, condensed directions, and things to know about meat foods. The recipes begin on page six and fall under one of the following categories: Sea foods, beef, veal ,mutton, lamb, pork, chicken. turkey, duck, goose, and game. All the recipes are written in paragraph form and entail detailed directions on how to prepare the dish. The back end page contains five black and white sketches and paragraphs describing various characteristics on the roaster, very similar to the front.
