The front cover begins with the title "Modern Methods of Home Canning by Kerr" written in white and red lettering against a green background. At the bottom, there is a large Kerr jar in front of drawings of fruit. The front cover is framed with modern blue and yellow lines. The back cover is the exact same as the front cover. The front end page is titled "Canning and Preserving in Kerr Jars" and continues with a few paragraphs about food preservation. The inside pages are dedicated to various informational pages that convey topics such as methods of canning, fruit jars and caps, time table, and choice recipes. The choice recipes are made up of various recipes for such foods as apricots, pears, berries, grape jelly, corn, tomatoes, fried chicken, and roast beef or pork. Each recipe entails the ingredients needed plus directions on how preserve the food. Pages six and seven contain the fruit jars and caps for products such as Mason Jars, Mason caps, Wide Mouth Mason jars, Economy Jars, and Jelly Glasses. Along the bottom of each inside pages, there is a blue band stating different facts about Kerr products.
