Description:
The front cover features a tan background with a framed circular picture of a man with white hair. Below, the title "John Hancock Great American Patriot" is written in black lettering. The back cover contains the John Hancock logo in the center followed by the phrase "Presented by John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance of Boston, Massachusetts" written in black lettering. The front end page contains an illustration of the "Signing of the Declaration of Independence," from the painting by Trumbull in the National Capitol. The inside pages begin with a title page made up of the title, quote from George F. Hoar, and publisher information. Page two features the "facsimile signatures of the signer of the Declarations from the original engrossed copy." The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to the history and life of John Hancock. Some of the topics discussed are Youth and Education, Hancock Opposes the Stamp Act, President of Second Continental Congress, and First Governor of Massachusetts. The back end page contains an illustration of "The Governor Hancock Mansion which stood west of the State House on Beacon Hill, Boston."
