The front cover features a drawn color illustration of a Butter Nut Baker's Boy carrying a large loaf of bread which has a blue seal on it. The title "Trot, Trot to Market" is written in blue lettering at the top. At the bottom, the phrase "A little picture book for boys and girls and their mothers" is written in gray lettering. In the bottom left corner, the copyright information is listed. The back cover contains six light blue Butter Nut Baker's Boys carrying large loaves of bread. At the bottom, there are four lines written in blue lettering that read "So trot, trot to market. To buy a loaf of bread. Trot, trot home again Schulze's? 'Nough said!" The front end page features a drawn color illustration of a mother getting a loaf of bread out of the oven and her son is standing behind her wearing a chef's hat. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to phrases and pictures describing the Schulze's Baking Co. and their products. The final phrase on the back end page is "If we always get Schulze's we're always all right." No page numbers.
