The front cover begins at the top with the title "The Cook's Book" written in gold lettering against a brown background. At the bottom, the company name "KC Baking Powder" is also written in gold lettering and outlined with gold leaves. The back cover contains two gold medals followed by the phrase "Gold Medal or Highest Award Wherever Exhibited." The inside pages begin with a title page that includes the title, a container of KC Baking Powder, a paragraph describing the content in the pamphlet, and the company name plus address. On pages two and three, there are terms explaining the quality of Baking Powder. The company guarantee statement is located on page five from the Jaques Manufacturing. Co. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to various recipes that utilize KC Baking Powder in them. Some recipes include nut bread, KC waffles, KC hot cross buns, KC baking powder biscuit, KC berry puffs, KC Christmas plum pudding, KC cherry pudding, KC apple fritters, KC chocolate cake, KC gold cake, KC spice cake, KC cream cake, pie crust, lemon pie filling, KC nut cake, KC honey wafers, KC strawberry shortcake, and KC asparagus shortcake. Pages forty-six and forty-seven contain cooking hints for regulating the heat of your oven, table of proportions, and standard ratio of baking powder to flour. The last page is made up of laboratory illustrations for the KC Baking Powder.
