The front cover features the title "Sauerkraut as a Health Food" in black lettering outlined by a red rectangle. Below, there is an emblem of good kraut N.K.P.A. trade mark in the color maroon. At the bottom, there is a brief paragraph describing the National Kraut Packers Assn. The back panel contains a list of all association members and products. The inside pages begin with informational pages that discuss Sauerkraut as a health food under topics such as food and health, food value of cabbage, rich in vitamines, value of lactic acid, an intestinal disinfectant, indorsed by famous dietist, and an efficiency food. Towards the center, there are two pages of "Authorities Consulted" in which all the sources who helped with the research for this pamphlet are listed. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to various recipes that utilize sauerkraut in them. Some recipes include Sauerkraut Soups, French Dressing, Sauerkraut with Ham, Tomato Sauce, Sauerkraut Cutlets, and Sauerkraut with cold meats. All recipes consists of the ingredients needed plus directions on how to prepare the dish. There are black and white photographic illustrations of woman located throughout the inside pages.
