The front end page consists of the table of contents. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to various topics involving the health of a baby. There are pages with information for the expectant mother regarding dental care, diet, and elimination. Some headings include the first step, general suggestions, feeding the new-born baby, care of bottles and nipples, when a baby has a cold, teething, and diet during baby's second year. On pages twenty two and twenty three, there are recipes for Baby's First Year including Barley's Water, Rice Water, Oatmeal Water, Browned Bread, Bran Biscuits, Prune Pulp, and Meat Broths. The back end page features a large box of Castoria and the phrase "Reduced Fac-Simile Of Fletcher's Castoria. The original envelope is included. It is a blue envelope with the return address in the top left corner with a box of Castoria underneath. There is a green stamp in the top right corner and a mailing address in the center.
