Description:
The front cover features the title "Healthful Cookery" in brown lettering against a soft tan background. The back cover is a plain tan color. The inside pages begin with "Methods in Hygienic Cookery" and continue with "Measuring and Combining Ingredients." The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to informational and recipe pages for such foods as breads, sandwiches, toasts, vegetables, eggs, breakfast dishes, gravies, salads, soups, and desserts. Pages 251-286, include "Seasonable Bills of Fare" which consist of various meals put together for different seasons. For example, the first spring breakfast contains sliced sweet apple with cocoanut cream, blueberry toast, granose biscuit, fruit nectar, potato cakes, and nut Libson steak with gravy. The last pages contain the index for this book.
