The front cover features a water color illustration of a boy scooping ice cream from a freezer. There is a little girl holding an ice cream cone up high with her left hand and is pointing at the freezer with her right hand. In the background, there are three other young children, a house with pink shutters and a picnic table filled with various foods and drinks. The back cover is a goldenrod background with sayings "For old-fashioned home made ice cream...and old-fashioned family fun" and "New, modern Proctor-Silex ice cream freezers electric and non electric" written in red and black lettering. Below, there is a guarantee box filled with a paragraph in red lettering describing the return and guarantee policy. At the bottom, the company name and address is listed in red and black lettering. The front end page includes a diagram explaining which part is which on the freezer. To the right, there is a chart describing the quantities of ice and salt required for making ice cream in various size freezers. The following inside pages contain various recipes such as Country vanilla ice cream, chocolate chip-mint ice cream, strawberry sherbet, lemon ice, peppermint candy ice cream and butter-nut ice cream. There are also drawn color illustrations throughout the inside pages of different scenes consisting of some recipes. There are no page numbers.
