Description:
The front cover features a water color illustration of a boy scooping ice cream from a freezer. There is a little girl holding an ice cream cone up high with her left hand and is pointing at the freezer with her right hand. In the background, there are three other young children, a house with pink shutters and a picnic table filled with various foods and drinks. The back cover entails "Recipes for home aid refrigerator ice cream freezer." Some recipes include country vanilla ice cream, lemon sherbet and orange ice. At the bottom, the company name and address are listed in black lettering. The front end page is filled with images of Silex old-fashioned homemade ice cream products. The following inside pages contain paragraphs describing the history of ice cream and how it came to be. Pages six and seven feature step-by-step directions on "How to make ice cream in your freezer." There are images as well as detailed descriptions for each step. There are various recipes that can be made using the Silex located on pages eight through ten. Some recipes include Country vanilla ice cream, Chocolate Ice cream, Fresh fruit ice cream, Coffee ice cream and Butter-nut ice cream. The back end page is filled directions on "How to make ice cream in your refrigerator the Silex way."
