Bernardin Home Canning Tips
The front cover features a drawn color illustration of a women canning peaches in the kitchen of her home. Above the illustration, there is a red band behind a white oval that contains the title "Bernardin Home Canning Tips" in black lettering. Towards the lower right, there is a Good Housekeeping Seal. At the very bottom, there is a black band with the brand "Bernardin Caps and Lids" written in white lettering. The back cover begins at the top with a red band that has the phrase "Three sizes Bernardin caps and lids" written in white lettering. Below, there are three separate sections devoted to three different types of Bernardin jars. The three types include Bernardin No.63, standard and wide mouth. At the bottom, there is a stamp of the sales representative's name and address. The inside pages all begin with a main heading that are written in red lettering inside of a black outlined oval. Some of the topics include Three Canning Methods, Step-By-Step Procedure, Recipe For Fruits, Tomatoes, Recipe For Canning Vegetables, Recipes For Meats, Poultry, Jelly Making Guide and Pickles, Relishes Spiced Fruit, Etc. Throughout the inside pages, there are sketches of the various steps in preparing each dish. The back end page is a promotion for the "New Bernardin Home Canning Guide." There is a black and white picture of the new guide in the top left corner. At the bottom, there is a section that makes it available for a consumer to send money in to purchase a new guide.
