The front cover is split into three separate photographs; Corn beef and kraut, shish-ka-bobs and kraut, and chocolate sauerkraut cake with cherries on top. The top photo has the title "The Sauerkraut Book" written in white lettering on the bottom. The phrase "Classic and contemporary recipes from around the world" is stated after the title in the same picture section. The back cover consist of the same three photographs from the front except there is a white block in the center containing a Silver Floss promotion. Below the promotion paragraph, the Silver Floss logo, company name and address are listed. The front end page features the Table of Contents and a section listing the measurements from converting cans and jars to cups. The inside pages are filled with various recipes for such items as soups, sandwiches and salads. Below many recipes, there are color photographs of the various dishes. Page 22 and 23 contain the index along with photographs of the different forms that the sauerkraut can be purchased in. For example there is a picture of a jar of sauerkraut and a can. The original mailing envelope is included. The envelope is outlined in an orange line. On the right side, the phrase "Here's your copy of the sauerkraut recipe book" is written in orange lettering followed by the company and address.
