Little Cookbooks: The Alan and Shirley Brocker Sliker Culinary Collection

Time For Tea

The front cover is outlined in a red frame around the silhouette of a teapot and three cups. There are multiple "+" marks in the spaces around the red frame throughout the whole cover. The title "Time For Tea" is written inside the red framed square. The back cover begins at the top with a silhouette of a tea pot followed by the phrase "The Lipton Kitchens" written in red lettering. At the bottom, it states "NutraSweet is a registered trademark of G.D. Searle and Co." The front end page starts at the top with a quote by Sidney Smith and is followed by a few paragraphs about the discovery of tea. On page two, a glossary of some popular teas is featured and on page five there are a few "tea accessories" listed in a table. The following inside pages consist of various recipes for foods that go along with different types of tea. For example, under the title "Morning Tea," there is a recipe for Lemon Blueberry Scones. Categories of tea are morning tea, high tea, informal afternoon tea, formal afternoon tea, country tea, cream tea, nursery or children's tea, herbal tea, and perfect-to-the-tea-punches.
