Description:
The front cover contains a drawn illustration of cowboys and Indians riding through the valleys. There is a large white cloud behind some of the men on horseback. This sketch is partially framed and features the title "Epoch Marking Events Of American History" inside of it at the top. The back cover is plain. The inside pages begin with a title page that entails the title, the publisher and the painter "O.E. Berninghaus" who painted "A Series of Historical Pictures." The following inside pages each tell a different story about America's early history. Some topics include De Soto discovering the Mississippi, Progress of the Lewis and Clark expedition and St. Louis Levee in early 1870s. Each topic consists of a few paragraphs describing the event along with a drawn color illustration to follow. The last inside page entails a fold-out of a few principal buildings of the Anheuser- Busch Brewery. No page numbers.
