The front cover begins at the top with the title "Recipes for cooking meats, fish, and so forth." The word "Recipes" in the title is written in big white lettering at the top while the rest of the tile is written half way down the page on the left side. On the right, there is a drawn illustration of a woman in a chef's hat, red dress and apron. She is grilling ribs above an open stove. On the very bottom, it states "Myron Puff, Druggist." The back page , starts off with the phrase "Creates strength for old people, delicate children and all weak persons." Below, the brand "Vinol" is written in big red lettering. The last item on the back page is a few lines explaining that customers money will be returned if their not satisfied. The front end page consists of various druggist recommending the product. The following inside pages include recipes for cooking meats, fish, oysters and clams There are also directions on how to use Vinol as a medicine for such things as coughs and sore throats. On page 25, "Saxo Salve" is introduced and discussed throughout the next seven pages. The back end page is a promotion for "Paxtine," which is a toilet antiseptic.
