The front cover begins with the title "Candy And How To Make It" written in a pink lettering. Following the title, there is an elegant women wearing a pink satin dress and pulling on a taffy. There is a blue wash background with various designs going through it. At the bottom, it reads "Compliments of William Hill & Sons, Philadelphia, PA" in a red lettering with a light green background. The back cover starts at the top with "Reasons why the Wyomissing Java & Mocha Blend is the best." The reasons listed include superior quality, selected for drinking merit, choice aroma, delicacy of flavor. Next to the list of reasons, there is a drawn illustration of a bag of William Hill & Sons Coffee standing up and then there is a bag of coffee lying down so that the bottom trade mark is showing. Underneath the illustration, the phrase "For sale by" is listed along with the name L.S. Levering and the address Ridge Ave and Green Lane, Roxborough. The front end page has various recipes such as burnt almonds, chocolate drops and blancmange. The back end page has recipes in red lettering and a ornate red border along the right side with different type of berries. On each inside page, there is a drawn color illustration of different individuals or foods along with a recipe of some sort. There are no page numbers.
