Description:

The front cover is a black, pink and white Victorian cover with the Charter Oak Range logo at the top. Below the logo, the title "Receipts & Household Manual For Sale BY" is written in a black and red font color. The back cover consists of two items. The first one is located at the top half of the cover and is a promotion for various products such as stamped ware and laundry stoves. The bottom half has the company name written in a black front. Separating the two halves are red ribbons. The inside pages begin with a title page and then continue with various receipts such as oysters, salads, sauces and cakes. Every couple inside pages have drawn black and white illustrations. For example, on page four there is a drawn illustration of an old man standing in a doorway while shouting at a young boy who appears to be running away from him.
