Description:

The front cover consist of two items. The first is the title "The Prudential Cook Book and Household Hints." The first half of the title is located at the top of the page while the second half is located at the bottom. The second item on the front cover is a drawn color illustration of a women looking at a cookbook while there is a steaming pot and utensils on the kitchen table. Under the table, there is a little girl eating out of a bowl. The illustration is located in the center of the page between the two halves of the title. The back cover is a drawn color illustration of the Rock of Gibraltar. On the blue rock, the phrase "The Prudential has the strength of Gibraltar" is written in a white text. In the very bottom left corner, the printer "Gray Lith. Co. N.Y. is listed. The first page which is a space for memoranda has G.W. Leffson's property stamp on it. The inside pages entail various recipes including soups, salads, desserts, fish, eggs and potatoes. There are no page numbers.
