Description:

The front cover is outlined in a ornate frame of apples and peaches. Apples are located on the left hand side while peaches are located on the right hand side. Inside the frame, the brand "Rippey's" is written at the top followed by the phrase "Up to Date" below it. There is a drawn illustration of a scoop of ice cream with the text "Receipts" written in front of it. Below, the phrase "For making ice creams, sherberts, fruit frost and water ices" is written in a light green text. At the bottom of the front cover the publisher is listed, "WM Rippey- 126 E. 2nd Street. Cincinnati, O." The back cover consists of a gray box of Rippey's Chocolate Icing. There is a drawn color illustration of three different types of desserts, each one includes the colors yellow, brown and pink and are located on a pink tray. The publisher is on the bottom of the box followed by the words "Prepared by." The first inside page describes Rippey's Powdered Foamoline and gives key facts to notice. The following inside pages entail various recipes for an assortment of ice creams, frost receipts, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, and biscuits. The last inside page consists of a drawn illustration of a box of Rippey's Marshmallow Cream Icing. This box is a brown color with white text. Underneath the box, there is directions on how to use the icing and it gives different examples of the various flavors of icing that can be used. There are no page numbers.
