There is a frame of a thin black line and a Victorian deco line. The back cover has a black frame with "Ayer's Hair Vigor Does not Color the Hair: Checks Falling Hair, Removes Dandruff, Promotes Growth, An Elegant Dressing." Below a thin black line is "This Almanac Is Presented By" above stamped "Frain & Wert, Laingsburg, Mich. 7525." Below is a promo for Ayer's products and the company name and address. There is a red string through one hole punched in the upper left corner. The front end page has a double-line frame and lists Formulas for Ayer's Cherry Pectoral, Ayer's Sarsaparilla, Ayer's Pills and Ayer's Malaria and Ague Remedy. Below are instructions to "Show These Formulas To Your Doctor" and "Consult Your Doctor" with "The Doctor Comes First of All" at the bottom. Almanac information includes a page on eclipses, morning and evening stars and chronological cycles for 1914 and a page for each month with moon phases, times for sun rises, sun sets and moon sets, current events for the year 1909 and several jokes at the bottom ("Mrs. Hoyle: My husband loved me at first sight. Mrs. Doyle: I understand you met at a masquerade ball."). Several pages promote Ayer's products and all the ailments they relieve and numerous cautions to consult a doctor first. There are no page numbers.View this piece: jpg pdf
