The front cover has a large illustration of a pressure cooker surrounded by an uncooked roast and home-canned and fresh vegetables. At the top is the Mirro-Matic logo in black, yellow and red with the title in black and red. A red line separates the title from the illustration and wraps around the back. The back cover has "Mirro-Matic, the most wanted Pressure Pan. Check these important features!" Below is a list of six features beside red check marks. At the bottom is the Mirro logo with the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval on the left and the Underwriter's Laboratory Seal on the right. The front end page has a table of contents and instructions for replacing the safety fuse. The title page has a photograph of two pressure cookers on a stove above the title. A paragraph says that these recipes are for both the 2 1/2- and 4-qt. Mirro-Matics. Company logo, name and address are at the bottom. There is a list of Mirro-Matic parts and "Important!" warnings, six illustrated steps to cooking with the Mirro-Matic, 10 "Important Don'ts," how to clean the Mirro-Matic, Mirro-Matic features with illustrations and how the Mirro-Matic saves vitamins, flavor and time. There are tables for cooking various foods: Fresh Vegetables, Dried Vegetables, Dried Fruits, Cereals, Meats and Fowl, Soups and Chowders, Pasta and Rice, Fish and Sea Food and Frozen Vegetables amid the recipes. There is a section on instructions for pressure canning with time tables. At the end is a promo for the Mirro-Matic electric percolator and Mirro-Matic accessories and three pages of Mirro products with illustrations and descriptions.
