Description:
This is a typed letter on Round Oak Company letterhead to the Vernier-McLaughlin-Proeck Co., Archbold, Ohio, from H.R. Rutter, Assistant Sales Manager of Round Oak, dated October 16, 1940. At the left top is the Doe-Wah-Jack logo in red, black and white inset above a black-and-white drawing of the Round Oak Company plant, "Since 1871." The text of the letter states that there were two enclosures: "New 2-Oven Combination Range For Coal, Wood Or Gas -- Hiawatha" catalog and "Confidential Dealer Net Price List, Effective May 20, 1940 [Round Oak Hiawatha and Miami Ranges]," each entered separately and available in this database. There is additional information about features of the ranges and a request for a reply.
