The History Of Our American Flag
The front cover has a large color drawing of a 50-star American flag. A color drawing of Kate Smith is in the upper left corner with a message: "I hope you enjoy this collector's item, reprinted from an authentic 1898 booklet." The title is under the flag in gold block letters outlined in black. The lower right corner has compliments of Instant Chase & Sandborn, Product of Standard Brands, Inc., New York, New York. The back cover has a color photograph of Kate Smith holding a jar of Instant Chase & Sandborn Coffee. Below is a message from Kate Smith and "Kate's coffee" at the bottom. These are made to look like pieces of paper on a light brown background. The front end page has the story of the Boston Tea Party with a color photograph of a jar of instant Chase & Sandborn Coffee at the bottom. The back end page has an eagle holding a flag pole with the American flag with a statement that Chase & Sanborn's Seal Brand Java and Mocha are the standard article. The trademark is on the bottom of the page. There are drawings and descriptions of the Bunker Hill Flag, Pine Tree Flag of the Navy, The First National Flag, First Union Flag, Colonial Flag, Liberty Flag and Rattlesnake Flag.
