The front cover is orange with a black spine and a curly line to the left. The title is in a white circle with a black deco border. The back cover had the same color scheme with a white rectangle with a black deco border containing: 1847 Rogers Bros. Silverplate. Towards the bottom is Internationa Silver Co. Meriden - Conn. Chicago New York San Francisco Sold by Leading Dealers. In the bottom right hand corner is 1660B. Printed in U.S.A. The front title page copies the circle from the front cover except the frame is orange with the title and by Eileen Cumming table settings arranged and approved by the Good Housekeeping Studio of furnishings and decorations. There is a note on the verso about hospitality and the copyright notice. The pages have an orange line down the left side and two orange lines across the top with Etiquette; Entertaining and Good Sense between them. There is a square decoration in the upper left corner where the lines cross. The first letter of each section is bold with an orange deco square behind it. The sections discuss etiquette; giving a formal dinner; serving coffee; giving a formal luncheon; afternoon tea as a means of entertaining; intimate tea table; breakfast for the visitor; and the waitress.
