The front end page has cartoon characters around Michigan Beans Delicious Anytime Anywhere. Below that is a note that Boston may have made them famous... but Michigan grows them! The back end page has Candy, Sweets and Other Nice Eats with several recipes from the Gratiot County Farm Bureau Women's Club. Page one has a brief note on the Michigan Bean Industry and the state logo. Recipes included are main dishes, main dishes with sausage, Spanish beans, the French touch with cheese, Kidney beans, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and Appetizers, and Miscellaneous facts. Famous recipes included are House Bean Soup, Senate Bean Soup, several presidents and generals, Delmonico's Menu 1834, and The Romney's Bean Soup. The Jacqueline Kennedy recipe has been replaced by the John F. Kennedy recipe.
