The leaflet is a die-cut in the shape of a box of Pettijohn's Breakfast Food. The front is a replica of the box front, side and top. The background is yellow with Pettijohn's in black above a circle with a bear looking over a cliff. There are wheat shafts on either side of the circle. Below is a blue banner with Breakfast Food above a red box with Manufactured From The Best Pacific White Wheat in yellow. At the bottom is a white rectangle with Made By The Quaker Oats Company, Address - Chicago, U.S.A. The back panel is yellow with a large drawing of the bear looking over the cliff. Bear In Mind is above the bear in an arc in red block letters outlined in black and Our Trade Mark is below the bear in an arc in the same lettering. The inside has This Is To Remind You, which tells how Pettijohn's Breakfast Food is made; Housewife's Notice, which explains the object of this leaflet; followed by recipes for Pettijohn Wholesome Bread, Hurry-Up Biscuits, Breakfast Food Muffins and Pettijohn Nut Fritters.
