The three-ring notebook binder has a black front and back cover, with no text. The title page includes a black and white photograph of two bottles of Canada Dry in a buffet setting. Text reads Add-A-Leaf Hostess Book, Prepared By Betty Beldon, her signature, Home Economics And Tea Room Specialist, In Collaboration With Ida Bailey Allen, International Authority On Foods And Nutrition, Diet Editor Medical Review Of Reviews. Sections are included for Soups, Fish And Eggs, Meats, Vegetables, Salads, Breads, Cakes, Pies, Desserts, Preserves, Beverages, and Invalid's Tray. Printed recipes are included in each, along with handwritten recipes. The first page of each section also features a black and white photograph. Miscellaneous notes and handwritten recipes are also tucked into a sleeve on the inside of the back cover.
