The inside front cover includes an Announcement identifying the purpose of the pamphlet ("furnishing some facts and information to the coffee-consuming public, who have doubtless heard much about the 'harmful' effects of Coffee in the public prints." An estimate regarding the publication date is based on a reference in the Announcement to the coffee crop year of July 1, 1906 to July 1, 1907.
