Description:
The front cover reads Radio Cook Book, Prepared By Miss Virginia Tappan, Mansfield, Ohio, Compliments Of The Tappan Stove Company and The Broadway Department Store, Broadway-Fourth and Mill, Arthur Letts Jr., President, Copyright 1925. The front cover is blue with black lettering, plus a vignette of a little girl showing her pie to her mother. The Compliments text is in the form of a pasted-on white sticker. The back cover is blank. The front end page has abbreviations for rapid copying, alphabetical index, and general rules for using Tappan gas stoves. The back end page has a promotion for the Tappan Stove starting with "The Range is Part of the Recipe." The inside pages include recipes for breads, cakes, desserts, meats and fish, meat substitutes, pies, salads and salad dressings, sauces, and vegetables. Many pages are blank so the owner can write in new recipes.
