One of the New Series Beautiful Birds cards was packed in each package of Arm and Hammer Soda and Saleratus. The company would send a complete set of 60 for six two-cent stamps. The following are in the Sliker Collection: No. 1 Common Troupial; No. 2 Florida-Jay; No. 5 White-Headed Dove; No. 7 Brewers Black Bird; No. 8 Mexican Star King; No. 11 Long Tailed Titmouse and Bearded Titmouse; No. 12 Common Linnet; No. 14 Red Shouldered Buzzard; No. 15 Blue Throated Warbler; No. 19 Stone-Chatter; No. 24 Varied Thrush; No. 28 Kingfishers; No. 30 Osprey Fish Hawk; No. 31 Redpoll Linnets; No. 34 Robins; No. 40 White-Winged Crossbill; No. 42 Wood Warbler; No. 46 Columbia Magpie; No. 50 American Goldfinch; No. 52 Crested Purple Finch; No. 53 Black-Tailed Parakeet; No. 58 Carolina Parrot; No. 58 Indigo Bunting; No. 59 Curvier's Kinglet; and a smaller version of No. 59 Curvier's Kinglet, which is 1 1/2" x 2 3/8".
