Description:
This pamphlet has a red, white, and blue wrap-around cover. The front has Famous Dishes in red surrounded by blue stars. The bottom half is red and white stripes with a blue square inset with From Every State in white lettering. The back has the same red and white stripes and solid blue inset and the GM Frigidaire emblem in red, white and blue at the top. The front end page is blank and the back end page has a dealer's name: Ryal's, Inc., Garfield 3800, Detroit, and salesman's name: Thomas J. Toner. There is a title page with the title and copyright information followed by a page of acknowledgements for the editor of Woman's Home Companion and the director of the Good Housekeeping Institute. There are recipes from the 48 states and the District of Columbia, each beside a blue and white map of the state with the state nickname, capital and flower. In the middle are two pages of Frigidaire's own choice recipes. At the end is "A Spread-your-own Party," with recipes for canapes, and "Better Meals for Less Money," with a week's menu and tips for saving money in food preparation. There is a black-and-white photograph of the General Motors Building, Detroit, Michigan, on the next to last page. There is an index of recipes on the last page. There are no page numbers.
