The chapters are different barbecue sauces from Maggie Waldron, Sharon Kramis, Jane Butel, Sam Higgins, Ken Davis, Sam Legard, and Michael Silver. The first chapter is on the history of Kingsford and how to start a grill. Each cooks' chapter started with a signed letter.
