The front cover is orange and white with a photo of Miss Ruth White, the demonstrator for the school sessions. There are line drawings of place settings with plates of food. The back cover is orange and lists the sponsors, demonstrator, participating firms, free gifts, and the contents of free food baskets presented at each session. This is the first session. The front end page has how to cook meat using dry heat or moist heat depending on the tenderness of the cut. There are twenty-two different recipes included. The centerfold has a table titled: What shall we have to eat today? There are five columns: meat, vegetable, salad, bread. and dessert. The rows are alternating white and orange. There are two recipes on the right side. The bottom portion of page 9/10 is a registration blank to be used in awarding gifts. The back end page has the types of cuts of pork and hints about pork.
