The school was presented by the Board of Water & Electric Light Commissioners and retail electric appliance dealers of Lansing and East Lansing. It was held at the Prudden Auditorium in cooperation with the National Live Stock and Meat Board, Chicago, Ill. There is a line drawing of a flag and four women in green and white dresses carrying displays. The back cover listing the participating firms: F.N. Arbaugh Co., Barker-Fowler Co., Coven Electric Co., East Lansing Electric Co., Garlock Kelvinator Co., The Home Appliance Co., The Jury-Rowe Co., Kessel Norge Sales Co., L.C. Pemberton Co., Schaberg-Dietich Hdwe Co., Sears, Roebuck & Co., Vandervoort Hardware Co., White Products Corp., and National Enameling & Stamping Co. A note that six brand new 1938 Model Electric Ranges would given away free is in the bottom right corner. The front end page has line drawings of the various cuts of beef and how to cook them. There are 29 recipes in the pamphlet. The back end page has Simple Rules for Successful Meat Cookery : dry heat, moist heat, broiling, pan-broiling, stewing, and cooking in water.
