Is smoking harmful?
Description:
A reprint of an article from "Good Health" magazine, April, 1927, vol. LXII, No. 4. The article by Dr. Kellogg discusses the dangers of tobacco. He states that at one time it was included in textbooks on material medical but no longer is as there were too many deaths. Dr. Kellogg states that the violent symptoms of acute poisoning when taken in even small doses should be a clue it is not good. He concludes by saying tobacco is good only as an exterminator of vermin yet one factory in Detroit makes rat poison which says pure nicotine and there are other factories where the packaging has pretty girls rather then a skull and crossbones.
