Description:
White stock cover has Carving Booklet in white print on an brown rectangle background and "a carving guide by Cutco the exclusive lambhandle cutlery" along the right side in brown. Below is "with the amazing new double D Grind" in black. There is a drawing in black of a turkey on a platter and a place setting. A carving knife is across the turkey and a carving knife across the dinner plate. The back, in black and brown on white, tells how CUTCO Cutlery was chosen by the Museum of Modern Art for good design. A black circle in an brown square with "Good Design" in white hangs from black and brown strings. Below it says "Research and material supervised and prepared by Margaret Mitchell, Director, Home Economics, Wear-Ever Kitchens." At the bottom is the company name and address. The pamphlet begins with a description of the Lamb Handle and how it came to be, an introduction of the Double D grind feature and the advantages of CUTCO knives, followed by the company's guarantee. The "Carving Section" lists 11 steps to carving preparation followed by detailed instructions, with illustrations, on how to carve various cuts of beef, pork, lamb, veal, tongue and fowl. There is an extensive section on the care of CUTCO knives with a separate page for each type of cutting and carving utensils: how they should be used, sharpened and stored. The last pages show gift sets and where to write for service. A yellow and brown postal card is stapled in the center to send for information on becoming a CUTCO distributor: "for men only! (and a few women, too)" to "add spare time cash to your present income."
