Kerr Home Canning Book
The front panel has a woman in a patriotic apron holding a canning jar of peaches and a box of Kerr mason caps. There are enlarged peaches and leaves behind her. In the upper right corner is a shield with a red bar at the top and the remaining sides are a blue bar with stars. Inside the shield it says National nutrition edition in black letter. There is a black banner at the bottom with the title in yellow letters. The front end page has a Food for victory shield, a small picture of the buy war bonds and stamps poster, and a dedication to the Homemakers of America. The back panel has the Food for victory shield. Food for is in the red bar in white, and the bottom banner is blue with victory in white letters. There is a canning jar of pears and an empty canning jar at the bottom of the panel. There are pears and leafs in the background. The back end page has a line drawing of one of the factories, why Kerr products are the best, and where to write if you have a problem. Pages 28 - 29 are in color and have a title " Food will build a new America!" The Food for victory shield is on the upper right side of page 28. Canning questions answered are on pages 46 - 52. Page 56 has a color advertisement for Kerr products with an Important war notice! Kerr wide mouth and Kerr economy jars are discontinued for the duration. For the jars now in use, Caps, Lids and Clamps are available.
