There is a yellow background with the peaches and leaves in the upper left corner. Inside the yellow is a black square bordered with red and white borders. Inside is Hold the flavor above a mountain of fruit and vegetables with a Kerr mason jar at the base and below the mountain of produce are the words use Kerr jars & caps in yellow with Kerr in red. Below the black square is red script writing "Taste the difference". Between the bottom black border and the yellow is a green space with fruit in both the right and left corners. The words Bulletin No. 838 are in yellow in the bottom black border. The front end page is an advertisement for Kerr fruit jars. The back end page is an advertisement for Kerr caps and lids. Pages 10 - 11 describe the Kerr test for seal and the Kerr principle of sealing. Page 14 lists other booklets that can be requested.
