Mexican Cookery For American Homes [1943]


The front cover features a colored illustration of a set table with various prepared dishes on it. The title "Mexican Cookery For American Homes" is written in black lettering along the top with the American flag and Mexican flag outlining it. The back cover contains eleven cans of different Gebhardt's products. The front end page entails a promotion for Gebhardt's Eagle Chili Powder. The inside pages are dedicated to various recipes that utilize Gebhardt's products in them. All recipes entail a list of the ingredients needed followed by directions on how to prepare the dish. There are also some recipes that contain an illustration of the prepared recipe. The recipes are split into various categories including appetizers, canapes, enchiladas, poultry, salads, tamales, and vegetables. Pages forty six and forty seven entail the table of contents and index for the pamphlet.
