New Cake Secrets


The front cover features a drawn colored illustration of a cake with a slice cut out and placed in front of it. The title "New cake Secrets" is written in yellow lettering against a blue background. The inside pages begin with a story of Swans Down Cake Flour and continue with informational topics such as how to master cake making and how to tell when the cake is done. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to various recipes that fall under the categories of butter cakes, sponge cakes, angel food cakes, frostings, pastries, small cakes and cookies, and quick breads. All recipes entail a list of the ingredients needed plus directions on how to prepare the dish. Pages forty six and forty seven are made up of the index. The back end page contains the "Temperatures and Time-Table For Cake Baking."
