The hardcover is bound with a metal spiral. The book is a revision of the 1903 edition of "How to Make a Soda Fountain Pay." The front and back covers are blue, white, and pink with a blue and black checkered border. Both covers have a drawing of a sundae glass. The front has the glass filled with ice cream, while the back glass is empty. The cover and page borders were designed by Bary Zaid of the Push Pin Studio. The illustrations were by William Hunter.
