The Main Library will not open until 8:30 am on Friday, June 30 because we will be holding a secure-in-place drill.
Book Design Workshops
Do you need to print a book for a class or personal use but don’t know where to start? The Espresso Book Machine staff offer free workshops providing an introduction to the Espresso Book Machine and book design. At the workshop you will learn:
- How the Espresso Book Machine works
- File requirements for printing books
- Copyright compliance for printing on the EBM
- How to use Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word to set up cover and interior files
- What not to do when designing your book
- How to submit files through MSU FileDepot
Participants will gain hands-on experience in the Beaumont West Instruction Lab located on the library's second floor in the west wing. Multiple workshops will be offered throughout the semester at the dates and times listed below. Can't make it to the workshop? Groups of five or more may request a workshop using either Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word; please contact email@example.com to check for availability and schedule a date and time for your workshop.
