Chicano Studies materials have been collected at the MSU Libraries since the late 1960's as part of the general collection. The Libraries collection includes primary and secondary sources in multi-formats, languages and research levels. In February of 1995, the Cesar E. Chavez Collection was established and has become a focal point for Chicano Studies materials in the Libraries. The Chicano Studies Serials Collection on microfilm. The USC
Berkeley Serials Microfilm Project makes available the most extensive collection
of Chicano and Chicano/Latino-related serials in the United States. The
collection is housed in the PRR/ Microforms Library on the first floor east
wing of the Main Library. A companion guide is available.

ACCESS
The MAGIC online catalogs provides access to the collection. The Chicano Database and the Handbook of Latin American Studies are two of the periodical indexes providing access to periodical articles about Chicanos.
