One of the best ways to achieve the greatest precision in searching the MSU Libraries' online catalog is to use the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). Ethnoreligious groups are also included. Although a general directory the numerous entries for Asian / Pacific Islander Americans warrants inclusion on this page. Over one hundred original essays written by scholars and writers with a special interest or knowledge of ethnic groups. Well indexed with many references to additional sources for study.

Government Printing Office Monthly Catalog
The United States Government is the largest producer of information in the world. This CD-ROM provides access to much of that information. Also check US Government Websites.

Provides indexing to 25 American newspapers many of which are owned by the MSU Libraries.

A large index to over 2500 journals in sociology, anthropology, behaviorial sciences and more.

Social Work Abstracts
Contains information in social work and human services. Provides coverage of more than 450 journals in all areas of the profession, including theory and practice, areas of service, social issues, and social problems.

- Alliance of Lesbian-Bi-Gay-Transgendered and Straight Students (ALBGTS)
The Alliance of Lesbian-Bi-Gay-Transgendered and Straight Students (ALBGTS) at Michigan State University is a student-run organization to provide the lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgendered community of MSU with a safe and welcoming environment, a resource for the entire MSU Community by which they may educate themselves and others about the lesbian-bi-gay and transgendered communities, and

The Minority Business Students of Michigan State University is an organization
composed of Asian American, African American, Hispanic and Native American students in the Broad College of Business. Minority students from other programs are also welcome to the organization.
- Multi-Racial Unity Project
The Multi-Racial Unity Project in the Urban Affairs Program at Michigan
State University is dedicated to the promotion of unity in racially polarized environments. The Project grew out of a long history of race relations work among the faculty of the Urban Affairs Program dating back to the early 1970's.
