Capabilities & Information: Dual Layer drives are capable of burning up to 8.5 gigabytes of data on special dual layer discs (DVD -DL).

The drives can burn 4.7 gigabytes of data on all formats of DVD discs, including DVD+, DVD+RW, DVD-, DVD-RW.

The drive will also work with standard CD-R, CD-RW disks to burn up to 700 megabytes of data.

Capabilities & Information: The Macintosh SuperDrive essentially performs the same functions as the high-end drives in the Dell and Gateway systems. The key difference is that this system uses a thin slot where you "feed" the disk into the workstation.
