In first story of the third White Lama album, novice monk Gabriel Marpa must sit motionless outdoors through three hot days, and his situation is ameliorated by snails who come to cover him. The story is called "Trials and Miracles," in the album The Three Ears. The second album in the Rork series features a giant snail and a snail cemetery. Rork rides a giant snail from one planet to another, in the story "The Great Secret," part of the album Passages.
