Summary: Cromwell Stone was one of thirteen passengers on a transatlantic sailing ship when the crew mutinied and put the passengers out on a small boat. The passengers had not expected rescue, but were saved by luck. They have been celebrating their deliverance by holding annual reunions. After ten years they notice that there is one fewer survivor each year. The original ship had been carrying someone who had in his possession a key to another dimension, which had been stolen, and the mutiny had happened while the crew was busy looking for the key. Since it was not thereafter found on the main ship, suspicion has shifted to the passengers. Someone is eliminating them one by one as he looks for the key. Cromwell Stone actually catches sight of the other dimension, and learns that there are beings from it living among us. This gives the artist the opportunity to draw large panels with strange perspective. The key turns up in a fisherman's net in the epilog, though it is not a key to the resolution of the story, but only to the other dimension.
